My rose has left me ... I'm in a mood. We laughed, we cried ... I winced

Yes, yesterday was the day when the newest addition to our family, young Jack, became a man and had his knackers cut off. He wasn't very happy about the whole affair, but he didn't seem as pissed off as No.1 cat Mojo who spent the whole night growling and hissing at Jack, probably coz jack's had his arse shaved and stinks of disinfectant. Forttunately the vet had the good taste not to offer us the left-overs in a jar, unlike a chinese doctor who once removed a rather nasty set of chalfonts for me. I still wake up screaming thinking about that.

Work goes well and I am now officially the director of Barnes Diamant SPRL (named after the label on our post box, so we don't have to poit out to the landlord that we've registered a company in our flat, something which we're not strictly supposed to do.) Now I need a car. I've had a rental for the last 2 months and it's getting really dirty. Having decided on a budget, the current debate centers around eactly how large an engine I need to get me "safely" to work. I tried to convince bubble that anything less than 200 horses is just a plain dangerous lack of power, but she remains unconvinced. I have talked her up from 70 to 150 though, which is a relief. Odd, I thought I was buying this car for me, but it seems to be some sort of "joint" purchase ... well, my dad did advise me never to argue about non-house purchases with the better half, which must be why we've ended up buying a place down the road from her parents in Toronto. errk. We're spending today running around looking at options in the alfa 156 / Sabb 9-3 hopefully we'll have a deal by the end of the day.
