3 months to go...

Got a call from Dave last night, begging for money as usual... Everyone seems to think I should be "demob happy" at the moment, which annoys me because I think this too but reality seems to conspire against me. Work is being a real bastard and doesn't look like getting better before July. I suppose it will depend on how the interview with Gartner Holland goes this Friday and whether or not I need a reference from Gartner HK. Sadly, one of the 2 is likely to be positive so I am left having to finish off this god forsaken abortion of a project in Seoul. Bugger.

Reason for silence is I have been stuck in China doing a mock-up by day and entertaining Koreans at karaoke by night, while running between 2 failing materials suppliers. It's been a bit of a blur, and a not too pleasent blur at that but it's over for the time being so there's something positive. Only have to deal with the suppliers now.

Not much in the news today, of course the Pope is a few degrees cooler than when we last talked, although I understand he's more animated than ever. I saw this interesting snippet that Robots will replace child camel jockeys in UAE, not sure how you "congratulate" the winning jockey in true arab style, though. I'm sure they'll think of something.

Finally, for you brits who can't seem to get to the creationalist science fair website, try copying this address into your browser; http://objective.jesussave.us/creationsciencefair.html It's well worth a view, especially the "Shot down Landover Baptist" campaign section, which posits that satire is all well and good, unless it pokes fun at religion, then it's Evil and that the internet is apparantly a "Christian American" idea and so ideologies opposed to the obvious rightness of Christian Americans shouldn't be allowed.

Finally, UK fellas, I should be in London on Saturday night, but the jury's out as my gran's a bit ill. I'll call Smudge on Sat morning when I get in and let you know what the score is.

Enough for now, my turn to make the coffee.
