Afternoon

what with teh crop of upcoming comic book movies that all look dodgy at best, it seems that the best superhero movies these days are the ones that take a pop at the Genre by creating their own characters rather than trying to re-interpret something that's been done in a different medium already. The Incredibles springs to mind and, having just watched the trailer, so does Sky High.

Sound crap? Watch the trailer, I think you'll like it. Kurt Russel is the proud Dad (yeah! Kurt!) and unless I'm mistaken, that's Bruce Campbell (double yeah! Bruce!!) as the PE teacher.

Doesn't look like it'll tax the brain too much, but it does look like it'll catch the funny bone. And hard.

Afternoon

a change of tack and this article about Alan Moore finally getting ther complete hump with DC over V for Vendetta. Actually it seems to be more of a case of the straw and the Camel's back. He also talks about the upcoming LXG graphic novel. Now; interested or not, I liked his descriprtion of it;

Moore described it to me as "not my best comic ever, not the best comic ever, but the best thing ever. Better than the Roman civilisation, penicillin..." The human brain? "Yes and the human nervous system. Better than creation. Better than the big bang. It's quite good."

Better than the human nervous system is a description I'll remember for the right momnent. Another quip in the article that I'll try and remember for later use; "if it's worth reacting to, then it's worth over-reacting to." Class

Oh, and my boss has agreed to give me a reference and told me that he doesn't blame me for the problems on terh project. Bless.
