Hi again all

Been away for a week or so in Gozo, a sleepy little island off the coast of malta. Smudge and Jules had an underwater camera with them and I'm waiting on them to get over the 6 hour delay in their return flight and emeail me the pictures than I'll post a thingy about it. We're seriously thinking about saving up for a place there, it's like Mallorca only affordable and there's no Germans.

I reached somewhat of a watershed the other day when I was informed that, after 10 years, my pension scheme is currently worth just about exactly what I've paid into it. Considering that for 7 of those 10 years it was worth about 30% less than I had paid into it, this is a positive thing and I'm looking forward to paying into an investment scheme for once, rather than a leaky bucket. Sadly, with out a job, I'm quick running out of slush fund to feed it with. Wouldn't you know it...

I'm supposed to be writing fro the Bulletin Blog again next week, but we're off ot the Ardennes on Monday so I'm not sure how I'll make the posts. Internet cafes, shoulder to shoulder with interail sruffies, no doubt.

And I dinged my bike yesterday and prezled the back wheel (meaning, for the uninitiated, that it's no longer round) which means 100 bucks for a new wheel *sigh*. I do have another rear wheel with a crackered freehub though, so I'm thinking of teaching myself to build wheels. Sadly I just counted the spokes and found that one wheel is 28 spoke while the other is 32. Q for you Dunc, can I build a 28 spoke hub onto a 32 spoke rim, leaving out 4 spokes at compass points, or is this a bad idea? 28 apoke rims seema little thin on the ground here...

Right, we have Chantal and Cath here and neither of them have seem Team America yet so let the education begin. All together now ..... I'm so ronrrrrrry
