Stuck in the hotel; it shouldn't happen to a level 16 necromancer...

Back in Taipei again, although the whole place seems somewhat empty without Dave or Elv. I think this may be the first time I have been completely alone here (snif...)

Our shipment was held in customs yesterday, which means not much doing on site today. That's OK though because I am being thrown new stuff faster than I can catch so a day in the hotel room with the laptop and inches of files to read through the peace and quiet is quite useful. No petty distractions of people wanting to know if they should wipe their arses with an up and down or rotary motion and could I do it for them, please.

The firm have put me in new digs this time; well, almost. I am in the Fullerton, which is actually the renovated "by the hour" joke that was the Dynasty hotel. The new look is actually very good, with quite a sophisticated style about it, free broadband porn...err...internet.

I think I blew the cones on Bubble's travel speakers playing Lords of Destruction (the most excellent Diablo 2) last night. can only play on about 1/4 volume without speaker buzz now. Damn; off shopping when I get back I suppose...

Spoke to Dave at the weekend, he and Cindy apparantly spent 3 hours shopping for groceries in Sydney because ... well ... they can't get groceries in Taipei. No doubt they now have 6 jars of different types of peanut butter etc. They have set themselves up with a serviced appartment somewhere in the city (Dave didn't tell me where; funny that) and are starting the Great Aussie house hunt as I write.

I suppose I should get some work done whilst I'm here (or I could try Level 3 of that dungeon again...)
